01 Up Against the Wall

oppression fallen on this world
heavy fog, suffocates my hungry soul
want to break out but,
these chains they hold me back
must it be so hard, just to be who i am

can't comprehend what is going on
subconscious barriers rise up and i hide away
scared of that which my mind
cannot understand, seeking to gain
the new peace beyond all

rising up, from deep inside
sweeping current, through my veins
just want to want, control the way i live
hold myself up against the wall
bloodstained fallen on my knees

to even speak the words,
breaks this heart of mine, to say your name
these tears of pain come forth
out of control, come rescue
given all i can, you shatter me,
build again something new
