02 Recurring Dream

Do you feel like you never chose the way it is
Just stumbling from one place to the next
Let me tell you about how where I am became
Walking high and low through the highs and lows
Ever sleeping and gazing into space wondering where to go next
Can it really be true are you sure this is what you really want
I’m blue when I don’t see you and your face shining through
Imagine spending forever with you this lifetime and more
No more dreams of yesterday cause today is just not
Some extension of then waiting for tomorrow to come
And further drag out life’s recurring dream

Stand strong on the mountain eye to eye
Blurred vision of heaven becomes crystal clear
Does time stand still or move on by
Riding on the wings of yesterdays child
Tomorrow’s king was he born here today
Tell me your story of what became
What changed your mind took you over the line
Like the pride you have in your own dream world
Ruling your life in a solo lifeless domain
Where day never ends and the sun never shines
And though it ends it returns a recurring dream

Calling through the night inescapable cries
Mirror image of the face you imagine you saw
Realise why it is and can you see how it could
Be if this is what your mind creates within
Visualise can you see Technicolor pictures of light
Head spinning like it did before yet no pain
Ride high on the wave goodbye to the old days
Speak the words in your head don’t lock this away
Decisive grasp hold and jump into the river
Everlasting stream of conscious flow, this is reality
No longer bites and it ends the recurring dream
