09 Nice

Can’t even be nice can’t pretend I’m doing fine
Get stage-fright minutes before I stand up to preach
Sure that everyone is looking straight through me
Is the wall so much more inspiring than I am

This is the last thing that I would have chosen to do
More than happy to be seated right where you are
I wont apologise for this behaviour of mine
Not running on my own self propulsion anymore

Should I cry out help me Lord in this situations
So that I can be who they’re expecting to see
Maybe its time to just be who I have become
Forget about trying to be nice and acceptable

Wake up the clock has finished it’s endless ticking
It’s time to change the way that you want to be
Just because you were bought up to believe this doesn’t make it true
Please stop just being nice and start being real
