Like Christ loves the church for situations better or worse
Like two who become one leave the past and join
Would you wait another day for any other treasure

Never will I fully know what this life holds ahead
Won’t ever be able to see round every next corner
Not really sure what it is that we’re still waiting for

Is it time to let go of our own fears and agendas
Take the risk to say that I would stay only with you
Faithful until death do us part is that a statement to far

Life will take us places that we can’t know before hand
Did you really think that you’d be where you are now
When you imagined the future a year or more ago

One look at the past reveals that life is moving fast
There’s stillness in this madness one who doesn’t change
The very definition of our love man upon the cross
